I am a technical writer with over 30 years of experience in the computer software, hardware, and service industries. The simplest way to describe the many things I do as a technical writer is that I build a bridge between people and technology. I help people and organizations meet their goals in the simplest, most effective ways possible.
Agilent Technologies: I led a comprehensive rebranding initiative that aligned all documentation with corporate identity standards while introducing Git source control to replace inefficient Windows shares. This technological upgrade dramatically improved remote file access, reducing retrieval times from nearly two hours to under ten minutes and empowering teams with truly collaborative workflows.
Jitterbit: I developed comprehensive enablement documentation that empowered users to seamlessly connect disparate systems and build robust applications for business process improvement. By implementing a Markdown/Docs-as-Code approach, I accelerated development cycles and maintained exceptional quality despite challenging two-to-three-week release schedules.
Sheridan Journal Services: I implemented an innovative single-source publishing solution using MadCap Flare that allowed precise customization of online Help systems for 15 unique clients. Each documentation set was carefully tailored to reflect specific workflows and processes, resulting in a remarkable 30% reduction in support tickets and significantly enhanced user satisfaction.
